Coverage Summary

This limited warranty applies exclusively to eligible Optispark distributors purchased directly from Throwback Automotive dba Petris Enterprises or through one of our authorized resellers.

The warranty provides a one-time rebuild or replacement, at Throwback Automotive’s sole discretion, for a term of five (5) years beginning on the original purchase date.

Eligibility

• The warranty must be purchased at the time of sale or within fourteen (14) calendar days of delivery.
• For direct purchases from Throwback Automotive, proof of purchase is not required.
• For purchases made through an authorized reseller, proof of purchase is required to submit a claim.
• Only the original purchaser is eligible to claim coverage under this warranty. Coverage is non-transferable.

What Is Covered

• One (1) rebuild or replacement of the covered Optispark unit in the event of a failure caused by a defect in materials or workmanship.
• All warranty service is performed in-house by Throwback Automotive. No third-party administrators are used.

What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover failures resulting from, or related to:

• Oil and/or coolant contamination. If internal contamination is discovered upon inspection, coverage is void.
• Tampering. Removing the distributor cap or altering the unit in any way voids all warranty coverage.
• Physical abuse or damage, including impact, crushing, fire, or immersion.
• Improper installation, including misalignment, incorrect timing, overtightening, or use of incompatible components.
• Neglect or misuse, including operating the vehicle with known oil or coolant leaks or unresolved drivability issues.

Warranty Claim Process

• Customers must contact Throwback Automotive before sending in any units for warranty evaluation.
• The customer is responsible for all shipping costs associated with returning the unit.
• The complete assembly must be returned, including the electrical harness and vacuum harness originally installed by Throwback Automotive. Incomplete returns are not eligible for warranty evaluation.
• Upon receipt, the unit will be inspected to determine eligibility.
• If the returned unit meets the coverage criteria, Throwback Automotive will repair or replace the unit at no additional charge.

Warranty claims are typically processed within one to two business days. We maintain stock of critical replacement components to minimize delays and will communicate promptly if any issues arise.

Additional Terms

• This limited warranty covers only one (1) rebuild or replacement. Additional claims for the same unit are not eligible.
• Warranty coverage is void if the serial number or identifying marks are removed or defaced.
• Throwback Automotive’s liability is limited strictly to repair or replacement of the product. Incidental or consequential damages, including labor costs, towing, loss of vehicle use, or any other expenses, are not covered.

If you are purchasing on behalf of a customer, please provide the end user’s full name in the order notes at checkout to ensure proper warranty eligibility.
